Title: “E Pluribus Unum”
Speaker: Rev. Susan Yarbrough
Over the past few years, leadership of the Unitarian Universalist Association has worked toward revising Article II of our association bylaws to reflect our social and spiritual growth toward a more inclusive mission in the changing world of the present and the future. The final proposed revision incorporates our previous lists of principles and sources into six newly articulated values which we as UU’s will covenant to affirm and promote. Of the six, the one that interests me the most is pluralism. When we gather on Sunday, let’s think together about what genuine pluralism — both religious and cultural — is and is not, and how we can live and practice this value in deeper and more thoughtful ways.
