Melissa Torres, a native of Iowa and a Texan for the past 19 years, is digital archivist and writer. She lives in Houston with her husband, Gus, and their two children.

Guest speaker Rev. Vita Como speaks to the Zoom service of the Unitarian Fellowship of Houston, Sunday, October 3, 2021. Rev. Como is an ordained Interfaith Minister and holds a License in Teaching and Counseling from Unity Church of Christianity. She was born and educated in New York City and holds a Master of Divinity from Emory University in Atlanta. Rev. Como teaches in various interfaith venues in Texas and has a commitment to support education and interfaith literacy as a bridge to understanding and inclusivity. With a background in finance, legal management and oil and gas, she is retired from a 25-year career at the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston.
