DESCRIPTION:The Fellowship Book Club meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month on Zoom.  All book lovers are welcome.   We make an effort to have a balance between fiction and non-fiction.  Books must be available in the library\, and in paperback. \nWe will be discussing \n“Daughter of Time” by Josephine Tey \nIn her masterful novel\, “The Daughter of Time\,” Josephine Tey intertwines the art of detective fiction with astute historical analysis. Set in the confines of a modern hospital room\, Tey’s protagonist\, Inspector Alan Grant\, becomes engrossed in the mystery surrounding King Richard III and the infamous events leading to the demise of the Princes in the Tower. Through Grant’s intense investigation\, Tey deftly explores themes of truth\, justice\, and the malleability of historical narrative. DESCRIPTION:Title:  “The Earth Is Our Home” \nSpeaker:   Reia \nA talk on placemaking and communal green spaces informed by ecopsychology and ecospirituality. \nReia is a multidisciplinary Filipina artist with mediums of sound and earth. In her work she is informed by permaculture practices\, designing spaces that strive to create connection between people\, nature\, and place. As both a sound artist and certified permaculture designer\, Reia is a student of her community and of the Earth. She creates through the experimentation of sound through singing\, DJing\, and performance with the intention of deep listening. In other moments she is a steward of garden spaces on her college campus\, and also works as the Station Manager for Houston’s Ice House Radio. \nPlease stay for coffee and conversation after the service. \n
