The Bayou Moon Sangha meditation group meets weekly to explore and practice meditative traditions. We will be looking at meditation through the inclusive lens of Unitarian Universalism. UU’s unique ability to distill the best of the world’s religions provides a perfect opportunity for our group’s focus.
We practice silent sitting and walking meditation. We generally sit for 20 minutes, walk for 5 minutes, then sit an additional 20 minutes. From time to time, there is chanting or a healing prayer. We want all to be comfortable, so you can sit on a pew or on a meditation pillow, it’s your choice. Following the meditation we share tea and a chat. All are welcome.
Facilitated by John Willke.
