DESCRIPTION:“AI: Promise or Peril? Why Not Both!” \nSpeaker: Dwight Silverman \nDescription: Don’t fear the AI\, but rather respect its capabilities and its dangers. No tech product in history has had the kind of uptake that generative AI has\, with tens of millions of people using it less than a year after its debut. Proced with caution\, but also optimism. \nDwight Silverman worked at the Houston Chronicle for more than 30 years\, mainly as a tech reporter/columnist/editor. He was also the Chronicle’s first online news editor\, the founder of its blogging network and its first social media manager. Along the way he also managed its subscriber website for a while. He retired in 2021\, twice: Once from the Chronicle\, and again after a seven-month stint as a paid-newsletter writer at Forbes. \nThese days he’s kinda retired\, back to writing his weekly personal tech column at the Chronicle and doing occasional freelance pieces there. \nPlease stay for coffee and conversation after the service. \nChild Care will be available.

How is this possible?  I’m guessing millions of people\, along with myself\, prayed day and night that the dirigible\, called the Titan\, would be found before the oxygen ran out.  Prayed day and night that all 5 people aboard the Titan would be found alive and\, though traumatized\, would be alive and well and relieved to be rescued.  Prayed for the rejoicing and celebration that they lived against all odds.  MILLIONS of people praying for the same thing.
