From Rights to Responsibilities – our duty to interdependence and reciprocity.
Nothing in nature exists to just serve itself. Complex, vibrant interdependence is successful when each entity fulfills their purpose wholly. Somewhere we misunderstood the assignment. How do we get back on track? Native, Indigenous, Aboriginal people’s are inherently raised with an understanding of their duties and responsibilities to LIFE itself, whereas the western “rights” perspective cultivates an entitlement and/or subservience dynamic. Through today’s sermon, we’ll remind ourselves again about teachings that bring us closer to each other and the land which gives us life.
