Title: “Women Can Renew the World IF…and So Can You”

Speaker:  Margaret Anderson

Description:  Many women naturally practice, or easily learn, skills for productively discussing touchy topics, from sexual harassment to the neighbors’ naughty dog. Women can model these skills for others, renewing entire societies, IF they have improved status and visibility. You too can learn these skills and use them to offset factors, like implicit bias and workplace mistreatment, that suppress women themselves as well as their best gifts to the world.

Margaret Anderson is a trainer, author and consultant, specializing in communication skills. She was trained in basic and advanced negotiation by Professors Roger Fisher and William Ury of the Harvard Negotiation Project and authors of Getting to Yes and Getting Past No. She is also trained in general, church and family mediation.
Margaret has taught her own curricula for Rice University’s Glasscock School of Continuing Studies and, as an adjunct, for the U of H MBA program. Her training and consulting clients include large and small business and individuals.
She is author of three books: Bridges to Consensus in CongregationsLove on the Rocks with a Twist—Delightful Fiction with Lessons on Dealing with Others, and Women Can Renew the World IF…and so Can You, as well as a blog.

Please stay for coffee and conversation after the service.

Child Care will be available.
